1. Design & Modular Architecture: How It Works
Unlike traditional party speakers that constrain sound to a single direction, the Portronics AuraTrio adopts an innovative 3-piece modular layout. The core unit serves as a high-output base station, while two 15W satellite speakers detach magnetically with a gentle pull.
When docked, the satellites operate as left and right channels, forming a unified front soundstage. When detached, users can position them across opposite corners of a room, out on a patio, or beside a TV display to create a wide, physical surround-sound atmosphere without messy cables or external receivers.
2. Audio Performance & Acoustic Engineering
Underneath its matte black exterior and premium textured fabric grille, the AuraTrio packs significant acoustic firepower:
- 60W Main Driver Unit: Houses a large 100 × 120mm racetrack woofer, two 45mm high-frequency tweeters, and two tuned passive radiators for deep bass response.
- 15W Satellite Units (×2): Each independent satellite delivers 15W RMS output, complete with standalone DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) support.
- Dedicated Bassboost Mode: A dedicated hardware switch instantly boosts low-end resonance for deep, thumping bass during energetic party sessions.
- 90W Combined Peak Output: Delivers punchy, distortion-free audio capable of filling medium-to-large halls and outdoor venues.
Each satellite speaker is equipped with its own internal battery and Bluetooth receiver. This means you can detach a single satellite and carry it as a compact standalone speaker for personal listening.
3. Auracast™ Tech & Multi-Source Connectivity
Powered by Bluetooth 5.4, the AuraTrio incorporates Auracast™ broadcast technology. Auracast automatically maintains latency-free audio synchronization across the main unit and satellite speakers without requiring any mobile app or manual pairing routine. Furthermore, users can connect additional Auracast-compatible speakers to expand their sound coverage even further.
For multi-device flexibility, the system also features physical AUX-in (3.5mm) and USB media play ports, enabling zero-latency playback from laptops, gaming consoles, or projectors.
"The AuraTrio represents a major architectural shift in portable audio — giving users the option to enjoy a single heavy-hitting party tower or instantly create a true 3-channel wireless surround zone."
— Portronics Product Engineering Team4. Battery Capacity, 30W Fast Charging & IPX6 Rating
Built for mobility, all three units in the AuraTrio setup are independently powered and IPX6 certified:
- Battery Configuration: Main speaker houses a 4,500mAh battery, while each satellite contains a 2,000mAh cell (Total 8,500mAh system capacity).
- Playtime: Offers up to 6 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge.
- 30W USB-C PD Fast Charging: Supports up to 30W Power Delivery. The main unit recharges in ~2.5 hours, and satellites fully recharge in ~3 hours when docked or via direct Type-C cables.
- IPX6 Splash Resistance: Fully shielded against rain showers, water splashes, and pool parties across all three units.
